What drain video inspection involves
A drain video inspection sends a waterproof camera on a flexible cable into your drain line so a plumber can see the inside of the pipe on a screen. Instead of guessing, we see the clog, crack, sag or root intrusion and measure how far it is from the access point.
It is the right first step when a drain keeps clogging, when several fixtures back up, before hydro jetting, when buying an older home, and before a remodel ties new fixtures into old drains.
Mesquite Plumbing uses the inspection to recommend only the work your line actually needs. You can watch the footage with the plumber and get a plain explanation of what it shows, so a simple clog does not turn into an unnecessary dig.
Footage also helps when you are talking with a home seller, an insurer or a contractor, because everyone is looking at the same picture of the pipe.
How it works
Our process
- 1
Locate the clog
We test the fixtures to see whether one drain or the whole line is affected.
- 2
Look inside if needed
A camera inspection shows roots, breaks or buildup and the right pressure for jetting.
- 3
Clear the line
Cable machine or hydro jetting, matched to the pipe and the clog.
- 4
Flow test
We run water through every affected fixture before we leave.
