What sewer video inspection involves
A sewer video inspection puts a camera inside the main sewer line between your house and the city connection. It shows the condition of the whole run: roots, cracks, sags, offset joints and blockages, plus how deep and how far out each problem is.
Homebuyers book one before closing, especially on older homes with clay or cast iron lines. Homeowners book one after repeated backups, when they see sewage odors or wet spots in the yard, or before deciding between repair and replacement.
Mesquite Plumbing uses the inspection to give you a clear answer instead of a guess. You can watch the footage with the plumber, see exactly where the problem is, and decide on a repair, a cleaning or a replacement with the facts in front of you.
On older homes with clay or cast iron sewer pipe, an inspection before closing can reveal roots or breaks that would otherwise become the new owner's first big repair.
How it works
Our process
- 1
Camera first
A sewer camera finds the break, root intrusion or sag and how deep it is.
- 2
Show you the footage
You see what we see and hear the repair or replacement options.
- 3
Repair or replace
We fix the damaged section or install a new line to code.
- 4
Verify the flow
A final run and inspection confirm the line drains the way it should.
