What pipe repair involves

Pipe repair means fixing a damaged section of supply or drain pipe so the system holds pressure and drains the way it should. Damage comes from corrosion, age, ground movement, accidental punctures during a remodel, and pressure that is set too high.

Common problems include leaking joints, cracked or burst pipe, corroded galvanized lines that restrict flow, and noisy pipes that bang when a valve closes. Some need a quick fix. Others are a sign the pipe is near the end of its life.

Mesquite Plumbing repairs pipe of every common material and keeps a large stock of pipe and fittings on our trucks, so most repairs are done on the first visit. When repeated repairs no longer make sense, we explain the replacement option and what it involves, so you can compare before deciding.

If a pipe has burst, close the main shut-off first, then open a faucet at the lowest point of the house to drain pressure from the lines. Then call dispatch, any hour.

How it works

Our process

  1. 1

    You call, a dispatcher answers

Day or night, a real person takes the details and sends the nearest plumber with the right parts on the truck.

  2. 2

    We find the cause

The plumber inspects the fixture or line and tells you what failed and why, before any work starts.

  3. 3

    Clear options, your call

You hear the repair and replacement options in plain words, and you decide what gets done.

  4. 4

    Fixed, tested, cleaned up

We run the water, check for leaks, and leave the area the way we found it.

Questions

Pipe Repair FAQs

Should I repair one section or replace the pipe?

One leak on otherwise healthy pipe is usually a repair. Repeated leaks, heavy corrosion or old galvanized lines often point to replacing a section. The plumber will show you what they find.

Can a leaking pipe wait until morning?

If water is reaching floors, walls or ceilings, shut off the main valve and call now. A slow drip under a sink can usually be scheduled.
