What bathtub installation involves

Bathtub installation covers the plumbing for a new tub: the drain and overflow, the valve, faucet and spout, and the connections to your supply and drain lines. A tub is only as reliable as the parts behind it, so every connection is installed and tested before the walls are finished.

It is part of bathroom remodels, replacing a worn or cracked tub, adding a soaking or freestanding tub, and converting a shower to a tub.

Mesquite Plumbing works with you or your contractor on placement, installs the drain, overflow and valve, sets the faucet and spout, and fills and drains the tub to check for leaks before we leave.

Freestanding tubs need the drain and supply lines placed exactly under the tub, so we work from your tub's specification sheet before the floor is finished.

We also install the plumbing for whirlpool and soaking tubs, which need extra attention to the drain, the supply and the space for the tub's weight when full.
